What it is like
A taro family root crop. The corm is a flattened round shape and 7-8 cm high and 16 cm wide. It produces a single leaf. The leaf stalk is pink near the base and deep green. It has irregular spots. The stalk is 60-80 cm long. The leaf blade is 60-120 cm across. It has leaflets 23 cm long by 8 cm wide. They taper to the tip. It produces one flower stalk.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It is grown as a food crop in valleys in Central China. It occurs between 900-1,100 m above sea level.
