What it is like
A taro family herb. It grows 1 m tall. It has a flattened round tuber. It is 5-7 cm across and 3-4 cm deep. The leaf stalk is 60-70 cm long and 1.8 cm across. It is greyish-green with some dark reddish-brown spots. The leaf blades are 50 cm across. They are divided into 3 main parts. The leaflets are narrowly oval and 6-19 cm long by 2-4.7 cm wide. The flower stalks are 35-42 cm long and 1.3 cm across.
There are about 170-200 Amorphophallus species.
