What it is like
A ginger family herb. It grows 2-2.5 m tall. The false stems are brown and hairy. The leaf blade is light green underneath. It is narrowly sword shaped and 30 cm long by 5-7 cm wide. The flower spikes are oblong. The flowers are yellow to red.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in forests at about 600 m above sea level in Yunnan.
