What it is like
A shrub that lies over. It can be a climber. The branches have brown hairs and curves spines. These are 1-1.5 cm long. The leaves are narrowly oval or oblong and 12-16 cm long by 6-7 cm wide. There are some hairs along the main vein underneath. The fruit is fleshy and oval. It is 2-2.5 cm across. They are orange-red when ripe.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in secondary forests up to 1,600 m above sea level.
