What it is like
A ginger family herb. The false stems are 1-2 m tall. The leaves have short stalks. The leaf blade is narrowly sword shaped. The spike is cylinder shaped and 12-15 cm long. The flowers are dense along it. The fruit capsule is round and 1.3 cm across.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in mountain regions between 400-800 m above sea level.
