What it is like

A herb. The false stems are 2-3 m tall. The leaf stalk is 4-8 cm long. The leaves are oblong and 40-60 cm long by 8-16 cm wide. They are hairy underneath. The tip rolls in a spiral. The flowering shoots are 13-30 cm long. There are many flowers. They are pale purple and white.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It grows in shaded wet places from sea level to 700 m above sea level in southern China. It grows in Yunnan in China.
