What it is like
A tree. It grows 20 m tall. The trunk is 40 cm across. The bark is greyish brown. The young branches have a grey covering. The leaf blade is narrowly oval and 6-12 cm long by 3-6 cm wide. They are papery. The flowering shoots have 1-2 flowers. They are yellowish white. The fruit are oval and 2-4 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. There are several seeds in each of the 1 or 2 sections of the fruit. They are 1-1.5 cm across and round and flat.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in southern China. It grows between 600-1,000 m above sea level. In Yunnan.
