What it is like

An onion family herb. It has a single bulb. There is one leaf. The leaf stalk is 9-15 cm long. The leaves are oval and 16-23 cm long by 7-16 cm wide. The base is heart shaped. The stalk is 35-65 cm long. The flowering head is round.

They have also been put in the family Alliaceae.


Where it is found

It is a temperate plant. It grows in forests and shady moist slopes and near streams between 2,200-2,300 m above sea level in China.
