What it is like

A climbing fig. It grows 12 m tall. The leaves are oval and taper to the tip. The figs are in the axils of the leaves. They are red and 3-4 cm across.

There are about 800-1000 Ficus species. They are mostly in the tropics. There are 120 Ficus species in tropical America.


Where it is found

A tropical plant. It has been recorded in the Central Province in Papua New Guinea and at Okapa. It grow in the rainforest.
