What it is like
A small tree. It grows 7-15 m high. The trunk is 20 cm across. The branches are 10 m high on the trunk. The young branches and flowers are brown and woolly. The leaves are hairy underneath. The leaves have 9-13 leaflets. The fruit are round and have a rusty covering. The seeds are orange-red.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in evergreen forest usually near streams. In southern Thailand it grows between 30-80 m above sea level.
