What it is like

A small shrubby tree. The branches are finely branched and smooth. The leaves are alternate and papery. They are blunt at the base and slightly green underneath. The flowers are borne in small bundles in the axils of leaves. The fruit are round purplish black when ripe and smooth. See Bridelia tomentosa

There are about 60 Bridelia species.


Where it is found

A tropical plant. They are found in areas of shrub throughout the Philippines.
