What it is like

The twigs have short stiff hairs. The leaf blade is 2-4 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. They are oblong with a blunt point. There are 1 or 2 flowers in the axils of leaves. The corolla is 5-6 cm long and is yellow. The fruit is a red berry. It is 7-8 mm long by 4-5 mm wide.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It grows in hot drier valleys. In southern Africa it grows between 20-1,400 m altitude.
