What it is like

A herb. It is erect and has an underground stem or rhizome. It grows 50 cm tall. There are leaves at the base and on the stem. The leaf stalk is 4-7 cm long. It has rusty hairs. The blade is almost round but unequal on opposite sides. It is 15-20 cm long by 12-24 cm wide. There are teeth on the edge toward the tip.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It grows in shaded moist places along streams between 400-500 m above sea level.
